Nachos' Birthday

On December 28 we celebrated Nacho's 4th birthday. Although I was completely exhausted from the Christmas celebrations which didn't seem to end beginning from Christmas Eve, I had to make sure Nachos felt her birthday was not just part of Christmas.

I was able to buy a butterfly puzzle cake mold during the Boxing Day sale and my friend who was an Avon Lady was able to magically speed up my order for these super cute insect shaped cup cake cups! They went perfectly together. Although the cake was only made from a cake mix, I made sure all effort was made to decorate the cake and cup cakes. I was resigned to making the frosting when I saw these ready made frosting in a can which came with its own decorating tips! How awesome was that!

Tada! Thank goodness for sprinkles in all colors and shades, ready made writing gels and ready made frosting!

The complete cake presentation with cup cakes surrounding it. I could start a business!

The boys during the party all huddled together and played their DS games while the girls played their toys.

All in all it was a tiring but wonderful day celebrating. I will find the time and energy to write more about the Christmas celebrations soon... I hope.

Happy Holidays everyone! Wishing you all a joyous new year!
